winter begone

Boseong Tea Plantations. An old man positioned Emily and I in this very korean style pose and insisted on taking our photo. I felt very uncomfortable!

Green tea flavoured noodles.

Green tea ice cream.

Yulpo beach close to the tea plantations.

Beach ninja

I tried Bondagae for the first time. Silk worm lavae. I actually quite enjoyed them. This was after a bottle of makgeoli though so maybe I need to try again completely sober!

Gyeongju. After completing the 10k in Gyeongju, I visited the grotto at Bulguksa temple,

Cherry Blossom viewing at Keimyung university with Janis.

These children kept trying to speak to us and following us around. I thought they'd be pretty happy to have their photo taken and I was right. Especially love the girls with big gaps in their teeth.

Snowy Seoraksan

It seems crazy now we have consistently warm days in S.Korea to think that one month ago I was battling against the elements in the north of the country at Seoraksan National Park. This was a truly magical trip for me because I love snow so much although it meant I didn't quite make it to the top! I got a little scared and stopped before the final section but a much braver Emily conquered Ulsan-Bawi. It seemed like fate as I had been moaning how I never got to see any temples in the snow and then we had unexpected snowfall on this trip and I was inundated with snow covered temples.
Small things!
