'Native Speaker Teacher Ski Camp': the bus read when we left Daegu for Muju ski resort to commence New Year celebrations. Thirty five English teachers, half of whom decked out in dodgy 80s ski wear, was certainly an interesting sight on the slopes.
Skiing was slightly easier for me this time although unfortunately I started getting over confident and did a spectacular fall in the afternoon resulting in a very painful coccyx injury. On New Years Eve we bought hand held fireworks and sparklers and convened on a little foot bridge to celebrate at 12 o'clock. A 'special' New Year noraebang (karaoke room) completed a unique and fun New Years Eve! Sunday consisted of hangovers, coffee, snowstorms and bumper cars before we arrived back in Daegu ready for my last week at school before vacation time.
